Established and respected insurance industry organization seeks full-time Account Administrator to work with internal teams for the purpose of processing transactions between the company's clients and their respective insurance carriers.

Account Administrator Responsibilities:

This position works on regularly scheduled tasks, many of which have contractual deadlines.  Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing client account database; resolving discrepancies
  • Running daily logs and reconciling account balances
  • Reviewing, submitting and booking payroll deductions changes to groups
  • Processing cancellations and waivers of premium
  • Posting and reconciling payments; posting individual payments and refunds.
  • Processing manual payments, policy effective dates, client refunds with Carrier approval
  • Pay and documenting monthly carrier bills.
  • Produce, interpret and resolve discrepancies in month end reports

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have at minimum a high school diploma, with 1-3 years in a customer-facing environment, preferably in the insurance industry. Working knowledge and experience with basic accounting concepts such as payables/receivables, debits/credits is required. Additionally, strengths in the following are required: 

  • Knowledge and experience with basic accounting concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at intermediate level applications, proficient in Word
  • Ability to combine data from several formats and sum, filter, manipulate as needed
  • Well- organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadline
  • Critical thinker, ability to recognize problems and discrepancies and solve them
  • Team oriented and professional attitude to interact at all levels of the company
  • Excellent listening and communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self driven proactively seeks information and solutions
