Our client, a rapidly growing technology-oriented company is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join its team in Columbia, MD. The Administrative Assistant's primary responsibilities will include oversight of the front reception desk, managing front desk calls, greeting visitors, and receiving mail & deliveries. This position also assists with ordering supplies, lunch order placement and pick up, preparing for meetings and events, and supporting all departments with their administrative needs.

The position requires:

  • Associate's Degree desirable, or equivalent experience in a professional setting
  • Above average customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, proven interpersonal and team skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment when needed
  • Routine IT knowledge desirable
  • General familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Gmail, calendars and documents, and some database experience
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
