Maple Life Financial is looking for a dependable, smart and resourceful Staff Accountant to join our team.  If you're the right one for us, you'll be a recent college graduate with the ability to apply accounting principles in a high-volume financial environment.  For you, this position will be an exciting opportunity to gain practical, hands-on accounting experience in a supportive environment while studying for the CPA exam.   

As our new Staff Accountant, you'll assist the Controller in providing general accounting for a family of 4-5 financial services companies and perform a variety of specific responsibilities including:

  • General accounting
  • Preparation of semi-monthly payroll using ADP
  • Accounts Payable
  • Billing and collection of Accounts Receivable
  • Budget, GAAP audit and tax support
  • 1099 and Affordable Care Act reporting
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet analyses
  • Managing special projects

What we're looking for:

We are looking for qualified applicants who possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting OR a minimum of 5 years' equivalent Accounting experience.  Proficiency in Word and Excel are a must and prior experience with MS Dynamics SL (Solomon) systems is preferred.  Applicants who are studying for the CPA are strongly encouraged to apply.
