Interos Solutions, Inc, a fast growing supplier of SaaS solutions to government agencies and corporations, is currently seeking a leading accountant to join our team.  The hands-on Controller will oversee and be responsible for executing all financial activities, including day-to-day accounting practices, invoicing, AR/AP management, cash oversight, management and reporting, budget, general accounting, and adherence to Federal/State Regulations.  The Controller will establish, develop and maintain internal controls and financial processing systems.  Must be detail oriented, a clear communicator and capable of operating in a dynamic, growing company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with CFO and top management to manage all finance operations of company; responsible for all accounting operations including AR/AP, payroll, invoicing, closing monthly financials, cash flow, and identifying opportunities to improve the accounting process
  • Account Reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Able to communicate key financial data clearly to the management team.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Ensures smooth cash operations through detailed cash planning
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
  • Monitors company budget objectives including planning, scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by filing financial reports and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting or role
  • CPA preferred
  • Managing Processes
  • Reporting Software  including QuickBooks and
  • Developing and Maintaining Reporting Standards
  • Creating Budgets and Tracking Budget Expenses
  • Basic Knowledge of Finance
  • Experience with government contracting and entrepreneurial businesses preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
