Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc. (UATP) is the airline owned payment network accepted by thousands
of merchants for air, rail, hotel, and travel agency payments. We are looking for a full-time Director of
Product Development for the Washington, DC office. This position will focus on charge card network
product development, working to expand UATP merchant acceptance categories to include hotel and
rental car acceptance; and, participate in strategic global partnership initiatives with new and
emerging forms of payments.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support a diverse and productive work environment for all UATP employees, contractors,
    visitors, and clients.
  • Participate in strategic global partnership initiatives with new and emerging forms of payments.
    Promote Alternative Forms of Payment (AFP) partnerships.
  • Develop and communicate product offerings using a variety of presentation skills to small and
    large groups.
  • Participate in new merchant and acquirer acquisition discussions.
  • Research, develop, and promote new pre-paid card product offerings.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to successfully achieve goals.
    Manage multiple projects simultaneously; ensure each project stays within budget and
    deadlines are met.
  • Moderate travel domestically and internationally for up to seven consecutive days.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of product development and delivery experience required; preferred experience in developing alternative payment methods such as mobile payments, smart card technology, and PIN/debit payments; or Global Distribution Systems (GDS),
  • Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and ancillary revenue charges. Prefer industry experience in global credit/charge card, travel, hospitality; or aviation and technology.
  • Well-developed project management skills.
  • Experience and ability to successfully collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Business case development and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of data requirements, formats, and connectivity desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English required; basic command of at least one additional language preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to seven consecutive days.
