Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in Washington DC. The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. Project scope can vary from single pieces of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel marketing campaigns. The Marketing Manager will oversee projects with digital, print and/or video elements in support of the RIF's strategic priorities including brand awareness, audience engagement, fundraising, community outreach, and partnerships. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, day-to-day management, and smooth rollout of projects.

Marketing Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and own project requirements, budget, scope, schedule and

  • Manages the day-to-day development and coordination with cross-functional internal teams, external partners and vendors from initiation to execution and post project

  • Serve as project lead for design, content development and implementation of digital, print, and promotional deliverables for all marketing

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Partnerships to understand and inform marketing strategy for project

  • Create and execute project plans. Monitor progress including deadlines, specs, assets, budget, vendor coordination, status updates, approvals and final

  • Participate in the management, coding and allocation of the annual marketing budget.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field required.

  • 5+ years in project management role at an agency or large

  • Strong Project Management and organizational skills, including the ability to function in a fluid environment and handle multiple tasks within established deadlines.

  • Excellent written, verbal skills and presentation

  • Capacity to work in a collegial environment that depends heavily on teamwork
