Job Summary
The Project Manager (PM) plans, organizes, directs and controls all Electronic Physical Security project activities from contract to close out. The PM is responsible for collecting, validating and interpreting stakeholder requirements and translating those requirements into an actionable project management plan. This role manages and drives the successful completion of projects to ensure customer satisfaction. Electronic Security Systems include Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intercom, Emergency Call Systems and various other Life Safety systems.
Essential Functions
- Initiates, plans, manages, reports, and closes all aspects of a Security project from award to completion.
- Proactively communicates project requirements to internal project teams.
- Participates in development, review and accuracy of project design documentation including drawings, submittals, equipment schedules, performance validation documentation, and quality control.
- Manages the field deployment and alignment with contractual deliverables.
- Acts as the company champion and provides professional communications to the Client.
- Establishes, manages, and reports all aspects regarding the project budget and project financials.
- Creates and manages the project master schedule including establishing project milestones, analyzing costs, and projecting needed resource allocations.
- Creates the procurement schedule and timely communicates requirements and purchasing to OSM.
- Identifies and manages potential project risks, develops solutions, and implements strategies to eliminate or mitigate the risk.
- Manages and presents all project change orders and requests to the Client.
- Actively participates in the pre-award sales process.
- Maintains accurate and timely project records and documentation.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree desired, may substitute equivalent work experience
- Current CPSM or PMP Certification or equivalent, relevant, work experience
- Minimum of Five (5) years experience in IT or the Electronic Security Industry
- Demonstrated AutoCad and Visio experience or certification
- Knowledge and understanding of NEC, NFPA, BICSI, NISPOM, DCID6/9, UL2050 standards
- Current Manufacturer Certifications and Experience with Avigilon, AMAG, Stentofon, DMP, DSC systems
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Government security investigation
Travel
Routine travel throughout the local Maryland/Virginia/DC is expected. Occasional out of area or overnight travel is possible.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment and off-site in finished and unfinished buildings. The Project Manager routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Compensation
- Salary $95k - $125k
- Health, dental and vision insurance available the 1st day of the month after 30 days of employment, company pays 50%
- Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability available the 1st day of the month after 90 days of employment, company paid, however employee can purchase supplemental life insurance for themselves and their dependents.
- 401(k) Safe Harbor Non-Matching Company Contribution of 4% available the 1st day of the month after 90 days of employment
- 15 Days PTO (pro-rated for the 1st year based on start date) available for use the 1st day of the month after 90 days of employment
