Position Description:
As part of the Engagement Team, the Associate supports the work of the Chapter Program Director in the development and implementation of programs to engage ASID members at the local level, through support the ASID Chapter network and other national programs aimed at reaching members of the Society at the local chapter level to include interior designers, business partners, manufacturers and service providers, educators, and students within residential and commercial practice sectors.
The Associate will work closely with all team members to support chapter development, compliance, operations, and general chapter board service needs. This position will also serve as a primary internal and external liaison to support administrative functions of the chapter framework.
An ideal candidate is an association management professional with experience in component relations and volunteer management, or professional equivalent, with the capacity to be business savvy and resourceful. Experience in the following areas is a plus in learning what is necessary to launch programs to support:
- Ability to navigate stakeholders and work collaboratively to design solutions for successful outcomes.
- Knowledge of governance issues and requirements and assisting chapters in navigating policies and bylaws.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Strong organizational skills aligned with running both in person and remote meetings that are strategic, purposeful and outcome driven.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Association Management experience a plus.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in program development, program coordination, program management and working with volunteers.
This is a remote/hybrid role. Must live in the Washington, DC area.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience.
