If so, A&L Foods, in suburban Philadelphia, PA, has a great new opportunity for a Sales Assistant to support our growing sales department. Remote work may be considered. If you enjoy working with people, like variety in your work, have an eye for detail, can work independently, and enjoy a fast-paced environment you will be a great fit for us. Every day will bring a new challenge, from processing sales data and generating sales reports to preparing correspondence to troubleshooting and resolving customer issues and concerns.

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Process sales data, prepare correspondence, generate sales progress reports, sales commission reports, routine reports on market trends, and other routine sales reports.
  • Proofread records or forms and maintain related sales files and office records. Assist sales staff with other clerical and administrative support.
  • Provide pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers.
  • Answers telephone, convey messages, and perform miscellaneous duties. May answer routine questions about products, services, and order status.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues and concerns.
  • Use computer database to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status.
  • Other duties as needed.

What You Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED, and 3 to 5 years of related sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Ability to work independently.
