Maple Life Financial is seeking a temporary Transactional Analyst to accurately and timely process all active Life Insurance Settlement cases from the pre-funding phase forward and to assist in all due diligence related functions as needed.  This will be an exciting, temporary opportunity to learn about a unique segment of the financial services industry by:

  • Facilitating all life settlement closing activities with all parties.
  • Preparing and managing the creation of all case specific settlement documents.
  • Updating and maintaining notes on each case in the proprietary electronic database.
  • Completing compliance review process for each proposed transaction, which includes the review of executed life settlement transaction documents, medical records, life insurance policies and all other supporting documentation.
  • Performing due diligence for each life settlement transaction, which includes legal research and the review of business formation and trust documents.
  • Coordinating with the Transactional Attorney to facilitate the closing/funding of the transaction.
  • Assisting in the coordination of all fraud prevention efforts undertaken by Maple Life.
  • Performing other support responsibilities as needed including providing administrative and substantive assistance with portfolio level due diligence projects.

Are you the right one for us? 

To be qualified for this position, you'll possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Law or other related field or other related field OR possess at least five (5) years of experience in a related industry.  You'll possess intermediate technology skills and will be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.  You must possess advanced knowledge of Excel functions suitable to manipulate large data sets (i.e. formulas and pivot tables).  You must also be comfortable with conducting legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other legal research services.  Prior life insurance experience or knowledge is a plus.
