Our client located in Baltimore, MD has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Warehouse Supervisor.  The position will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of warehouse staff responsible for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory control. Position may also assist with the daily workload. 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Ensure warehouse/shipping processes and procedures for safety and quality standards are maintained.
  • Plan work schedules for efficient utilization of labor force and to reduce overtime costs.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by overseeing physical counts, reconciling variances, and protect against loss.
  • Supervise incoming and outgoing shipments; ensure correct shipment of orders.
  • Ensures completion of department housekeeping and product code rotation.
  • Monitor load out to prevent errors, wrong codes, shortages, etc.
  • Supervise, coach, evaluate and develop warehouse staff to ensure shipping, receiving and storage activities are performed efficiently.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

What You Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' warehouse experience and 2 years' supervisory experience.  Food industry experience a plus!
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment training and certification.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Knowledge of proper freight handling/loading techniques.
  • Effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership abilities and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Moderate understanding of PC applications is essential.
  • Excellent attendance record, dependability and punctuality.
  • Must be flexible to work as needed to complete duties of the position.
