SF&C Insurance Associates (SF&C) https://www.sfandc.com a dynamic, established and growing employee insurance benefits administration company, is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to support its office network and custom productivity application. Internal software supports key processes allowing end users to efficiently and successfully deliver customer service, billing, collections and accounting functions in support of company's dynamic business model. This position will provide support for all business units on a day-to-day basis using IS/IT systems and infrastructure. 

IT Support Specialist Day to Day duties could include:

  • Support technical aspects of all business processes and office applications
  • Develop, scope, manage and prioritize IS/IT projects
  • Migrate current virtual on-premise environment to MS Azure in coordination with cloud vendor
  • Create, test, update and maintain DR/BCP plan in coordination with cloud vendor
  • Update, maintain and patch MS deployment server for all desktop devices
  • Update, maintain and patch WSUS server to keep all servers, desktop devices and laptops patched and secure
  • Update, maintain and patch all network devices, including firewall, email gateway, WAPs, and remote access appliance
  • Ensure that all licensing, support and warranty information is accurate and up to date for all hardware and software
  • Lead/attend internal meetings to determine project or program requirements.
  • Develop reports as needed to provide relevant data

Your experience:

  • B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, similar discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years demonstrated work experience in IT support in a small business environment.
  • Basic familiarity with Third Party Administration activities in insurance industry
  • Demonstrated experience defining system requirements to software vendors and implementing systems and infrastructure
  • Intermediate and higher skills in Microsoft Office products

 Technically Speaking, you demonstrate:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • SQL server maintenance, upgrades and SSMS
  • Exchange 2010 and Office 365
  • VEEAM backup solutions
  • Desktop support for Windows 10
  • Ethernet Networking, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, switch maintenance and updates
  • Windows Deployment Kit setup and maintenance
  • WSUS setup and maintenance
  • Knowledge of VMware a plus
  • Knowledge of NEC phone systems and/or 8x8 cloud communications a plus
  • Knowledge of Sonicwall perimeter appliances a plus
