Position Overview

The Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance risks to ensure satisfied customers. This role has responsibility for all assigned projects and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, and others aspects of a project. This role is generally assigned projects with significant, direct client interaction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop thorough understanding of and communicate stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and manage all project requirements to realize each for the stakeholder.
  • Develop and maintain project plans for each project assigned, including defining milestones for tracking and reporting
  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, and ensure that team members have the tools and information needed to complete their tasks successfully
  • Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives.
  • Manage project team activities, identify risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Track project progress and review project deliverables to ensure deadlines are met appropriately.
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, developing alternative solutions as needed.
  • Follow company policies, procedures and methodologies.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder's needs and requirements continuously in view.
  • Collaborate with software development staff, software testing and quality assurance teams, and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between BioFortis and its stakeholders are precise.
  • Assist in improving project management processes and best practices as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. Master's Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Industry certifications are favorably viewed.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in the software industry.
  • Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, scientific research and/or pharmaceutical industries are a plus.
  • PMP Certification a plus
